Nib Candy Factory PLC is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced import and purchasing officer to become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills.
Responsibilities
Preparation of crucial bank documents for imported goods
Management and execution of various payment terms with banks, such as LC, TT, CAD
Proficient understanding of LC, CAD, and TT payment terms
Comprehensive knowledge of the Ethiopian single-window system
Ensuring compliance with Ethiopian shipping line and other shipper agent regulations
Adherence to customs rules and regulations
Categorization and filing of all documents appropriately
Effective management, supervision, and evaluation of import activities
Implementation of Contracting & Procurement Processes in line with company standards, including the Request-to-Payment process.
Procurement of various company goods, packaging materials, and oversight of inventory
Compilation of a monthly report
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Accounting, Marketing Management, or related fields.
4 years or more of relevant work experience in Purchasing/Marketing or a related department.
Background in the food manufacturing industry is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial, monitoring, and performance data
Ability to perform well under pressure
Team-oriented mindset
Effective workload organization and priority setting
Basic computer skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with the single window system is a requirement.
