Nib Candy Factory PLC is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced import and purchasing officer to become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of crucial bank documents for imported goods

• Management and execution of various payment terms with banks, such as LC, TT, CAD

• Proficient understanding of LC, CAD, and TT payment terms

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Ethiopian single-window system

• Ensuring compliance with Ethiopian shipping line and other shipper agent regulations

• Adherence to customs rules and regulations

• Categorization and filing of all documents appropriately

• Effective management, supervision, and evaluation of import activities

• Implementation of Contracting & Procurement Processes in line with company standards, including the Request-to-Payment process.

• Procurement of various company goods, packaging materials, and oversight of inventory

• Compilation of a monthly report

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Accounting, Marketing Management, or related fields.

• 4 years or more of relevant work experience in Purchasing/Marketing or a related department.

• Background in the food manufacturing industry is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong negotiation skills

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial, monitoring, and performance data

• Ability to perform well under pressure

• Team-oriented mindset

• Effective workload organization and priority setting

• Basic computer skills

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Experience with the single window system is a requirement.
