Job Description
Employment Type: Definite period
Monthly Salary: USD 830, and it is to be paid in ETB as per an exchange rate of the month.
Role Purpose
To be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and supervision of Concern’s programme activities as well as supervision of relevant programme staff.
To manage day-to-day implementation of Concern’s programme and prudent utilization of resources in line with approved work plans, organisational policies, and standard operating procedures.
To provide technical support to the programme team, local partners and local government in charge of key sectors to establish a collaborative working environment.
To conduct needs and market assessments and identify relevant activities appropriate to the local context as required.
To foster linkages with partners and other stakeholders in the public and private sector at local level to enhance synergy, collaboration and learning.
To conduct and document regular field visits to monitor progress, receive community feedback, and to check on the quality and impact of activities.
To participate in assessments and to write weekly and monthly qualitative and quantitative reports a required.
To coordinate with the Logistics department on the procurement, transportation and distribution of materials and other inputs as required for the programme.
To uphold and promote Concern’s values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding values.
To participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern’s Emergency response as and when necessary.

Accountability

actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behavior is disseminated among programme participants and communities.

Understands local safeguarding structures and arrangements.

Identifies and refers to appropriate services any other associated persons including carers, family members and children at risk.
Able to document safeguarding concerns, and maintain appropriate record keeping, recording the wishes and views of the adult or child at risk, differentiating between fact and opinion.
Degree in a relevant technical field.
3-4 years relevant experience
Proven and demonstrable experience of working in a similar role and context.
Demonstrable communication skills, with good spoken and written English and local language(s).
Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
Good technical/programme knowledge in area of responsibility
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
