We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our growing HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and the separation process. The HR Specialist will work closely with the HR Manager and employees to foster a positive work environment and support the organization’s goals.
Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and onboarding new hires.
Prepare new hire paperwork and assist with onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Input and update employee information in various trackers, including attendance, leave, and contract dates.
Support performance management processes
Maintain effective communication regarding HR policies and procedures.
Organize and facilitate training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and relevant topics.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Generate routine HR reports as needed and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Coordinate offboarding processes for departing employees, including exit interviews and the return of company property.
Organize HR-related events, such as employee recognition programs and other company events.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the senior manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in HR, preferably in a recruitment specialist role.
Knowledge of Ethiopian employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in HRIS systems, preferably Odoo ERP systems
Proficiency in standard software applications, including MS Office operations, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written English and Amharic communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, people-management, and time-management skills and demonstrated capability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and focus on projects and tasks with the highest potential for success.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
