Job Description
Oversee and lead the factory management team together the Production Modernization Specialist from the Netherlands. Special focus on production, quality and technic.
Production Management:
Work closely together with and coach the production manager to achieve:
Ensure production targets are met or exceeded by managing resources
Continuously improve production processes to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Long term focus to balance demand and supply, considering budget, fasting times, etc.
Lead, coach, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Set clear performance goals for production supervisors and workers, providing feedback and support to ensure team success.
Implement new production technologies and product development as directed MT.
Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention.
Enforce health and safety standards in the production department, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure all production staff are trained in safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Manage the production department's budget, controlling costs while maintaining high operational efficiency.
Monitor and track production expenses, ensuring that financial objectives are met.
Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation, reduce operational costs, and enhance profitability.
Partner with the technical and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and optimize plant performance.
Collaborate with the quality team to address quality concerns and ensure the production process aligns with quality control measures.
Maintain detailed production records, including output, efficiency, and downtime data.
Quality Department:
Work closely together and coach the quality manager to achieve:
Consistent high quality of finished goods
Watertight incoming goods control
Oversee all quality control procedures, including testing, inspection, and certification of products.
Coordinate with the Quality team to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Coordinate product development and new ingredient testing
Manage and mentor the production and quality teams, providing direction and support.
Set clear performance goals for the quality department and production team.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
Ensure that Quality operations comply with all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Manage raw materials and communications with suppliers concerning quality compliance.
Use data-driven analysis to improve manufacturing processes and prevent recurring issues.
Ensure that all quality processes are in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, HACCP, EFDA, etc.).
Manage audits by regulatory bodies and quality management systems to ensure successful certification.
Prepare reports on plant performance, particularly focusing on quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, rework, customer complaints).
Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities and corrective actions.
Technical department
Work closely together with and coach the production manager to achieve:
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and fleet, ensuring that all equipment operates at optimal performance levels.
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, modernization, and automation to improve efficiency.
Lead initiatives to improve technical processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve production processes and technical operations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment, machinery, and plant infrastructure.
Manage the technical department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
Optimize resource utilization to reduce operational costs while maintaining high technical standards.
Monitor inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring timely availability to prevent production delays.
Work closely with the production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure technical support aligns with overall plant goals.
Collaborate with the production & quality team to resolve technical issues that impact product quality or production output.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss plant performance, address challenges, and implement solutions.
Performs other responsibilities as determined by business needs.
BSC/MSC in the field of food process/chemistry/mechanical/industrial engineering.
