Green Scene Energy seeks a highly motivated and talented HR and Admin Specialist to join our team.

Job Overview: We seek a highly motivated and talented HR and Admin Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR functions while providing administrative support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations. This critical role requires a proactive individual with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and contribute to our mission of sustainable energy delivery.

Reporting: The HR and Admin Specialist position reports directly to the Deputy Manager at Green Scene Energy. The Deputy Manager oversees the strategic direction and operational performance of the HR and administrative functions within the organization, providing guidance, support, and leadership to the HR and Admin Specialist in executing their responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

HR Management:

  • Develop and implement HR policies that align with company objectives and regulations.

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding to cultivate a skilled, diverse workforce.

  • Oversee employee benefits management, including enrollment and terminations.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and create development plans for staff.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through proactive initiatives.

  • Address employee inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies by staying informed of relevant changes.

  • Prepare and submit timely HR and administrative activity reports for management review.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, managing office supplies, payments (internet, electricity, rent, association fees), and coordinating travel and events.

  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and security of HR and company data.

  • Oversee office facilities and company vehicles, coordinating logistics and maintenance.

  • Manage online import/export processes, receive IT training for website management, and address customs issues.

  • Coordinate trade license renewals to ensure legal compliance.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in HR or administrative roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Proficient in HRIS, MS Office, and relevant software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a team of full-time, part-time, and field-based staff, particularly during fieldwork.

  • Experience in HR and administrative tasks for a team of 20 employees with diverse roles.

  • The position reports directly to the Deputy Manager, providing regular updates and seeking guidance as needed.
