Currently, Dereja is undertaking projects in tackling the issue of youth unemployment with various partners. Dereja is a pioneer in establishing Career Center services in Higher Education Institutions, organizing regional and national job fairs, designing and delivering employability skills training for fresh graduates as well as working on various additional interventions toward building the youth’s employability skills. Thus, IMS is looking for Account Executive who will be responsible for our clints under Business Development and Sales teams.
The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with new and existing clients. The role involves understanding customer needs, offering tailored solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process. The Account Executive will work closely with the Business Development and Sales teams to meet sales targets, generate new business, and build long-term client relationships.
Client Acquisition:
Identify and target new business opportunities in line with the company’s growth strategy.
Develop and execute strategies to approach potential clients and convert leads into sales.
Conduct market research to understand the industry landscape and identify prospects.
Sales Strategy Execution:
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring seamless handover to the account management team.
Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to develop and execute strategies that support revenue goals.
Present and demonstrate the company’s products or services to potential clients, tailoring the approach to meet their needs.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and retention.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Proactively engage with clients to identify additional opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
Revenue Generation and Target Achievement:
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by closing new business and expanding existing accounts.
Continuously monitor progress toward sales goals and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.
Prepare sales forecasts and provide regular performance updates to the sales leadership.
Contract Negotiation:
Lead contract discussions and negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts, ensuring all terms are clearly defined and agreed upon.
Manage renewals and extensions of contracts with existing clients.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Manage and track all sales activities using CRM systems (such as Salesforce, HubSpot), ensuring accurate records of client interactions.
Keep an organized and updated sales pipeline, ensuring that potential deals are accurately forecasted.
Use data-driven insights to assess the health of the sales pipeline and take necessary actions to close deals.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:
Work closely with the marketing team to align on lead generation and promotional activities that support sales efforts.
Collaborate with product development and customer success teams to ensure a smooth post-sale handover and excellent customer experience.
Provide feedback from the field to help refine the company’s product offerings and services.
Customer Insights and Reporting:
Gather and communicate customer feedback, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to the business development team.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and key metrics to sales leadership.
Use insights to continuously refine sales tactics and enhance customer engagement strategies.
Salary: Per Company Scale
Reports To: Events and Sponsorship Manager
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in a B2B environment.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tracking tools.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
