Job Description

  1. Position: - Videographer and Editor

           Job Grade: -   7

          Duty Station: -  Head Office

          Availability: -  As soon as possible

Job Purpose: - The purpose of this job will be responsible for planning and directing video shoots, producing engaging visual content by capturing high-quality video footage and expertly editing it into polished final products for various projects. This role involves working closely with team members to ensure that the final product meets the Exchange’s goals and client requirements.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and selecting footage for the final cut

  • Trimming footage and assembling it to create a coherent story

  • Adding special effects, sound effects, and music to enhance the video

  • Ensuring that the final video meets technical standards for broadcast or distribution

  • Working with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure that the final product meets project goals and client requirements 

  • Setting up and operating camera equipment to capture footage

  • Collaborating with producers, directors, and other team members to determine camera angles and shots

  • Ensuring that the footage is properly exposed, in focus, and framed correctly

  • Adjusting camera settings such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO as needed

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in camera technology

  • Adjusting camera settings such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO as needed

  • Selecting and adjusting lighting equipment to create the desired effect

  • Collaborating with clients, art directors, producers, and other team members to ensure that the final product meets project goals and client requirements

  • Working with the team to schedule shoot dates

  • Ready any time fieldwork to capture film and take a photo

  • Record film and take photos at the right time and place which can brand the exchange

  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and best practices while shooting.

  • Work on location or in a studio, depending on the Exchange’s needs.

  • Organize digital film and photo library for documentation

  • Ensures that all project files are properly labeled and stored and that are easily accessible to other team members as needed.

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BSc in any field 

    Certification or License Required 

  • Diploma/Certificate- in Cameraman, Videography, and Editing from a recognized 

  • 4 years of relevant experience as a cameraman, videography, or related areas 

    Ability and Skill Required 

  • Proven experience as a cameraman or similar role in video production.

  • Proficiency in using various camera equipment, including DSLR, digital cinema cameras, lenses, and stabilizers.

  • Strong understanding of video composition, lighting, and camera angles.

  • Good understanding of sound recording with up-to-date sound effects. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.

  • Familiarity with video editing software 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye.
