Job Description
The Logistics Intern is responsible for implementing logistics activities to facilitate assigned medical activities in Addis Ababa Office in Ethiopia
Plan and support supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, transport, shipping, warehousing, and asset management; apply distribution control techniques to optimize stock levels
Implement procurement process by MTI and donor policies and procedures, in a transparent, accountable, efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner, negotiating prices and proposing new suppliers to be validated
Process procurements
Track vendor contracts and work closely with user departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation; support timely vendor payment by submitting all required documentation in accordance with schedules
Track all organization equipment and assets.
Conduct occasional monitoring of inventory and assets to verify condition and proper use of property
Ensure proper branding on all items in accordance with MTI and donor requirements
Assist in planning of office management needs including purchasing of office supplies
Support safety and security tasks as delegated
Develop and maintain a database of suppliers of goods and services
Support safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies. Incumbents will remain alert and responsive to any child and adult safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child and adult safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding.

Education, licenses, & certfication:
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field is required
Experience:
Fresh Graduates of 2023/24 with GPA 3.6 above
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Self-motivated and Desire to serve others.

Able to cope with basic working conditions.

Physical conditions:
This position requires frequent travel to health facilities located in remote areas with very basic living conditions.
