Job Description
The bank and insurance service officer is responsible for undertaking all import related tasks in order to place an LC and other documents from suppliers and ensure timely delivery of items and services.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collects the required documentations for opening LC/or approval of foreign exchange
Reviews proforma invoices in order to make suitable for import processing
Ensures the forex allocation with finance timely
Get marine and air cargo insurance policies timely
Get approval of the permit
Communicates to supplier and confirm shipment schedule of orders
Follow up and monitoring of shipment readiness
Properly books shipments and monitor arrival at the appropriate port of destination
Files the import transaction documentations until it is cleared from National bank of Ethiopia and custom post audit
Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Academic requirement:
MA/MSC/BA/BSC in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/
Procurement / Management or related fields of study
Work experience:
2/4yrs of relevant experience in beverage industries
Additional Competencies:
Systems thinking
Knowledge of the local and international procurement practices
Negotiation skills
Customer handling skills
Planning, monitoring and evaluation
Emotional maturity
Computer literate in especially business applications
