Main Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Math teacher:

• Assist students in understanding mathematical concepts and completing math assignments.

• Support the planning and preparation of math materials and activities.

• Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support plans.

• Collaborate with teachers in planning short-term and long-term math lessons.

• Reinforce mathematical ideas and concepts for students.

• Promote inclusivity and support the learning needs of all students.

• Maintain familiarity with the math curriculum requirements.

• Support the teaching of numeracy and other specific math areas.

• Help students develop organizational skills and enhance self-esteem.

• Identify and respond to individual differences among students.

• Contribute to setting appropriate learning goals and strategies.

• Assist in maintaining student interest in math learning.

• Foster independent learning among students.

• Maintain standards of discipline in the math classroom.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Bachelor's degree in Math, or related field.

• Previous experience working in an educational setting.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.

• Proficiency in mathematics and IT skills.

• Understanding of safe working practices in an educational environment.

• Willingness to engage in professional development activities.
