Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry Plc is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60’s. During the period until 1975 it had the opportunity to act as the sole distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979 it was registered as the sole company to manufacture adhesives and glue. By stages, the company developed into a diversified paint manufacturer.

In February 2015, Asian Paints Ltd and Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC formed a joint venture for business in Ethiopia and came to be known as Kadisco Asian paints. Asian Paints is India’s leading paint company and Asia’s second largest, with a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. The group has an enviable reputation in the corporate world for professionalism, fast track growth, and building shareholder equity. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries.

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

Position Summary 

The Sales Executive plays an integral role in ensuring that the strategic objectives of sales projects are met, acting as the key player between various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and delivery. This position involves coordinating with different departments, project timelines, and ensuring that customer needs are addressed, all while keeping an eye on the project’s budget and resources. 

By maintaining a clear line of communication and leveraging their expertise in project management, the executive ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Their ability to navigate the complexities of sales projects, from inception to completion, makes them an essential part of the team, driving the project forward through each phase of its lifecycle.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 

Reporting to: Sales and Marketing Manager

Functional Relationships: Department Managers, External Vendors and Customers

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

  • Coordinate with marketing teams to align sales strategies and solutions with market trends and customer needs.

  • Manage and oversee the entire sales project lifecycle, from initial client consultation to closing deals, ensuring timelines and targets are met.

  • Liaise between the sales team and other departments, such as product development and customer service, to ensure product offerings meet client expectations.

  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement and recommend sales strategies for growth.

  • Prepare and manage the sales project budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and financial objectives are met.

  • Facilitate training and development programs for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.

  • Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms while maintaining quality and service standards.

  • Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and economic indicators to predict future sales volumes accurately.

  • Using this analysis to allocate resources efficiently and set achievable targets for their teams.

  • Informing strategic planning and decision-making processes.

  • Maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with clients to ensure smooth project progression and achieve sales targets.

  • Effective communication, understanding client needs, and anticipating challenges.

  • Directly influencing project success and client satisfaction.

  • Balancing client expectations with company capabilities during contract negotiations.

  • Ensuring agreements are both profitable and deliverable.

  • Communicating value, managing risk, and securing terms that support long-term business relationships and project success.

  • Coordinating skills, motivations, and resources to drive project completion within deadlines and surpass sales goals.

  • Overseeing the progression of potential deals from initial contact to close.

  • Nurturing leads, aligning sales strategies with customer needs, and tracking progress.

  • Employing a careful method to forecasting, analyzing, and adjusting sales tactics to optimize conversion rates and achieve targets.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree, with majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, economics, or a related field.

  • Advanced education, such as a master’s degree in business administration, can further enhance prospects, emphasizing leadership, strategic planning, and financial management to excel in coordinating sales projects and leading teams towards achieving business goals.

  • Possessing management and sales experience exhibiting excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrating strong leadership and effective communication skills.

  • Rich background in sales and project management experience. 

  • Participation in specialized training programs that focus on sales strategies, customer relationship management, and project coordination. Their experience usually spans m

  • Managing complex sales projects, leading teams, and achieving targets. 

  • Having a track record of navigating the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, and possess strong leadership qualities to drive project success. 

  • Proficient in database and computer applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.

  • Should have good command in English (Oral and written)
