Gyn/Obs have numerous responsibilities. This field combines obstetrics—a special area of care that encompasses preconception care through childbirth and delivery—with gynecology, which covers all areas of women’s health. They perform initial diagnoses and prescribe the best treatments possible, and they must explain complex conditions in simple terms. Other duties and responsibilities for Gyn/Obs include:

• Diagnosing and treating conditions that affect women, such as certain types of cancer and conditions like menopause

• Working with expecting mothers to explain the childbirth process

• Performing routine checkups with patients

• Providing childbirth and postpartum care for new mothers

• Assistance to the Professor at Laparoscopic Surgery, following the patients after operations, reporting to the Professor

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide care with knowledge, skill and according to the FMHACA standard policy and protocol of the hospital.

• Do patient round regularly according to the practice of the hospital.

• Follows medication administration and storage procedures and regulations.

• Records/collects patient vital signs and medical information. 

• Adheres to infection-control protocols.

• Prepares patients and assists with patient examinations, investigations & therapies.

• Educates and instructs patients on home care needs after discharged.

• Effectively communicates with patients, families, physicians for the patient care.

• Works with healthcare team members to assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient care plans.

• Inform the patient clearly about the care you are going to give.

• Document your activity & patient’s condition & keep oral & written report.   

• Keep up-to-date knowledge and skill.

• Keep functionality and durability of materials needed for patient care. 

• Make sure all elective surgical patients evaluated by Anesthesiologists & all surgery patients sign informed consent & understand what is written there.

 Working Condition

• The working condition will be office or shift as per the hospital demand

Job Requirements

Minimum Specification Requirement

1. Educational Qualification & Work Experience

   • Masters or PhD from an accredited University

   • Minimum of 2 years’ experience 

   • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine

b.Knowledge & Skill requirements

• Certificate on BLS and ACLS training. 

• Successful completion of an internship and residency in ophthalmology 

• Have good communication skill,good administrative and managerial skills & have some computer skills.

• Strong physics and math skills, and excellent medical knowledge.

• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Expert working knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.

• Language: Fluent in English (oral & written)
