Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for a Technical Manager - Mechanical.
The technical Manager is responsible for the provision of utilities to support the production, upkeep, and maintenance of all plants, buildings, and roads in the brewery.
• Lead & Organize maintenance and operation of power generator and auxiliary and production and distribution of power for production.
• Manage Production and distribution of good quality water for production and other activities, and upkeep all facilities used for the purpose.
• Take responsibility for the generation and distribution of steam and maintenance of steam boilers and other facilities used for the purpose.
• Provision of process cooling medium (alcohol water) at the appropriate temperature for various process cooling requirements, and maintenance of plant and facility used for the purpose.
• Manage the recovery of raw CO2 from fermentation, processing of the raw CO2 to required purity, storage, and distribution of the CO2 to various users, and maintenance of the plant facility used for the purpose.
• Lead generation and distribution of process air and maintenance of the plant and facilities used for the purpose.
• Responsible for wastewater treatment plant management to ensure that the effluent COD and phosphates are within government-approved limits.
• Manage the Proper organization and execution of planned maintenance.
• Achieve planning and execution of overhaul of production plants and types of equipment and production support plants and equipment.
• Regularly update relevant diagrams and process programs to reflect modification.
• Manage Coalitions, maintenance, and regular updates of plant inventory information in line with the planned maintenance system.
• Coordinate and consolidate preparation and implementation of annual engineering budgets, regular monitoring of the above budget to ensure compliance of actual expenditure with budget.
• Enforce safety practices while executing engineering jobs.
• Enforce good engineering practices and standards.
• Identify training needs & implement for all engineering staff.
• Properly review engineering personnel’s performance, including identification of their potential and recommendation for the development of higher responsibilities
• Prepare tender and bills of quantities, and select quotations for engineering projects.
• Advise on technical aspects of offices and houses on engineering issues.
• Organize the necessary plant and machinery for yearly insurance and ensure insurance inspection and execution of recommendations.
• Regularly review spare parts stock parameters with minimum /maximum /re-order levels.
• Frequently review identification and disposal of obsolete spare parts.
• Adhere spare parts purchasing procedure for purchase of spare parts.
• Regularly review of spare parts store KPI, with spare parts store personnel.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role within the beverage or manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and maintenance practices.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
