Job Description
Provide direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, security, and overall well-being. Monitor children's activities, behavior, and interactions to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.
Build trusting relationships with children and provide emotional support.
Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior reinforcement. Work with children to develop appropriate social skills and conflict-resolution techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress, behavior, and development. Prepare reports and documentation for internal records.
Handle crises or emergencies appropriately, following established protocols and procedures. Ensure the safety of children and take necessary actions to mitigate risks.
Serve as an advocate for children within the facility or organization, ensuring that their needs and rights are respected. Liaise with external agencies, such as social workers or healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care for the children.
Organize and participate in recreational and leisure activities for children to promote physical and social development.
Maintain regular communication with the parents or guardians of the children, providing updates on their progress and addressing any concerns.
9.Also performs related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education and Experience: Degree in Nursing , Psychology, Sociology with 2 years of experience or College Diploma + TVET level IV with 4 years of experience
Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
