Responsibilities

The role involves managing import/export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise in the process. 

❖ Coordinate import & export including sea fright booking, land transportation and dealing with the relevant documents and authorities;

❖ Be responsible for documents related to import and export and any related tasks;

❖ Coordinate with internal and external parties in order to ensure the completeness of the document submission process;

❖ Coordinate with shipping/cargo functions;

❖ Manage to deliver the tasks related to P/O, Invoice, Packing lists and other related tasks

❖ Create import/export documentation;

❖ Process and ensure accuracy of customs documentation;

❖ Assist freight forwarders and customs brokers with import and export issues associated with all shipments;

❖ Assist in handling and resolving freight claims;

❖ Review thoroughly and print all import documentation to ensure full Import;

❖ Compliance, per Ethiopian Customs rules and regulations, inclusive of recordkeeping;

❖ Maintain electronic records including daily import activity log;

❖ Import and Export Freight Costs Data, Import/Export tracking for Ethiopian Customs and the Company’s Finance Division, where needed;

❖ Attend off site trade conferences and webinars for training and fulfillment of essential functions and key responsibilities;

❖ Assist in process of Drawback claims as needed;

❖ Work outside of normal hours of operation, as needed, in order to fulfill essential functions and responsibilities;

❖ Maintain all files and paperwork relating to import/export matters;

❖ Track, trace and report shipments to ensure timely delivery to the Company’s warehouse;

❖ Review for accuracy and Process freight invoices and broker bills;

❖ All other duties as required or needed.

Job Requirements and Fields of Study

Qualification:- B.A Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related fields. Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, or related field.

Work Experience: On import and export or any related tasks such as Logistics and Supply Chain activities 3-5 years or above related work experience.
