Job Description

Hope Enterprise University College (HEUC) is a higher education institution in Ethiopia, which is housed on five hectares of a beautiful, green and clean campus conductive for teaching-learning process and having student and faculty friendly environment. 

Currently the university college is trying to recruit the right candidate who is befitting for the position of HR Officer, accordingly, any interested professional who can meet the following criteria can apply for the position. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Manages personnel matters from recruitment to separation

  • Oversees the evaluation processes of staff and searches for ways of staff effectiveness.

  • Ensures that all jobs have job descriptions.

  • Ensures work discipline.

  • Provides ongoing staff orientation

  • Identifies training needs and prepares programs of training.

  • Develop a work force that is competitive, agile and efficient.

  • Ensures that the employment and promotion practices are fair and based on clear and transparent benchmarks.

  • Identifies sources of manpower and engages in recruitment when instructed by supervisor.

  • Listens to grievances and channels them to the right official.

  • Handles employee benefits, employee relations and files.

  • Manages the safety and security of the university college.

  • Undertakes studies and prepares proposals on position classification and pay scale and presents the same to the vice president. 

  • Prepares a human resource plan for the university college in line with the short term and long term plans.

  • Upholds to the values, vision and mission of Hope Enterprises and Hope University College and ensures the advancement of the same at the university college.

  • Performs such other duties consistent with the functions of the office as assigned by the HR and Admin Head and VPAF.

Terms of employment: Contract (4 months) 

Accountable to: HR and Admin Head 

Job Requirements

  • BA in Management, Business Management, Business Administration and Related fields 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Human Resource Officer.
