Role Purpose

Ensuring Infrastructure Sharing (Colocation Project) scope is successfully met as per the standard and requirement of Safaricom Ethiopia.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership

·   Manages development and quality delivery of all Project documents and deliverables.

·  Analyze and clearly identify gaps in project delivery – time, cost, resource, deliverables, and escalate as appropriate.

·   Developing and maintaining project plans to track critical path tasks, dependencies, and requirements through the project lifecycle.

·   Responsible for the overall management, planning, developing, ongoing maintenance, and changes as per the project’s requirement.

·   Manage and progress track against those schedules.

·  Coordinate with the Project Partners, vendors lead for required documentations, approvals, timing, execution, and closeout of individual tasks.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of completion.

·  Manage project cost, scope, and schedule.

·  Work independently (Program manager will support, but candidate needs to work independently with little daily direction after initial learning period)

·   Supervises the work of its team and improves performance.

·  Conduct all business activities in a manner consistent with company corporate values and Code of Conduct with proper handling of confidential company, partner, and customer information.

·  Skilled Communication and alignment with Vendors, Partners, and other contractors is critical and crucial to the business.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Project Management

·  Plan, define and manage roles and responsibility of all scopes of the rollout.

·  Plan and monitor daily/weekly Colocation rollout activities as well as outputs.

· Plan, manage and monitor project on Colocation rollout related communication, meetings, reporting’s, and documentation are being executed as required.

· Manage vendor counterpart person and teams to achieve and set project targets from both schedule, budget, and quality point of view.

·  Must have Agile methodology experience

·  Deployment of Telecom Infra

·    Excel, PPT (Reporting)

·    Microsoft Project

Job Requirement

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

· Having university degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

·  Min 2-3 years of experience in telecom rollout management
