Administer and execute Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable transactions through timely and accurate processing, matching, coding, and updating into relevant systems by company policy and procedures to provide regular, up-to-date, and accurate information on status or deviations.

This role is based in Adama, Adama Industrial Park, and reports to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and effective internal controls are in place

• Carry out suppliers and bank reconciliations by analyzing suppliers and bank statements to reconcile differences between suppliers and bank statements and our books of accounts.

• Handle all supplier payments for local and overseas vendors by preparing, checking, verifying, posting, and signing all payment vouchers to ensure compliance with payment agreed terms.

• Maintain customer receivables set and meet collection targets on a regular basis by monitoring or controlling payment behavior by controlling credit limits and terms to ensure a healthy customer receivables portfolio.

• Assist and comply with all VAT regulations as per local requirements if required.

• Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties like banks and auditors to meet audit requirements and adhere to local rules and regulations.

• Issue sales invoices using cash register machine and manual invoices, document invoices accordingly

Job Requirement

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance

• Up to 2 years of relevant experience
