The Senior Accountant, reporting directly to the Head of the General Accounts Section, is responsible for preparing financial statements and fiscal reports, contributing to the review and enhancement of accounting systems and procedures. This role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including payroll processing, financial reporting, and month-end close activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and generate periodic financial statements.
Compliance & Reconciliation:
Ensure all transactions follow accepted accounting standards and policies.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review account ledgers for accuracy.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare financial reports, payroll, and reimbursements.
Analyze budget and expenses, highlighting variances and offering recommendations.
System & Procedure Improvement:
Support the development and improvement of accounting policies and systems.
Assist in establishing procedures for asset management and safeguarding company records.
Additional Support:
Participate in budget preparation and contract review to ensure complete and accurate financial records.
Document and maintain financial data, reports, and support materials.

Job Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
• Education: BA/MA/MBA in Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field; ACCA or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience: 4 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in a senior role (or 2 years for MA/MBA holders).
