Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluation and Assessment:

    • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the company’s insurance needs based on its operations, assets, and potential exposure to risks.

    • Analyze current policies to evaluate sufficiency and suggest adjustments or additional coverage as needed.

  2. Risk Identification and Analysis:

    • Identify potential risks across different areas of the company, including physical, operational, financial, and liability risks.

    • Stay updated on emerging risks relevant to the industry and company activities.

  3. Risk Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan.

    • Work closely with various departments to integrate risk management strategies into day-to-day operations.

  4. Insurance Policy Management:

    • Ensure all company resources, including property, equipment, and employee activities, are adequately covered by insurance policies.

    • Maintain detailed records of current insurance policies, policy expiration dates, and premium payments.

    • Negotiate policy terms and conditions with insurance providers to secure the best coverage at optimal costs.

  5. Claims Management:

    • Oversee the process of filing and managing insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submission.

    • Serve as a liaison between the company and insurance providers to facilitate claim processing and resolution.

  6. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and legal requirements.

    • Prepare and present regular reports on the company’s risk exposure, coverage levels, and claim statuses to senior management.

  7. Policy Advisement and Education:

    • Advise management and employees on insurance-related matters and coverage.

                    .    Educate employees on best practices for risk mitigation and the benefits of maintaining insurance coverage

Job Requirements

  • TVET Level IV in Management or related field of studies

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
