We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant Expert to join our client’s team in the retail sector in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background, particularly in retail, and will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights on financial performance.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support.
Prepare for audits and coordinate with external auditors during the audit process.
Develop and implement financial policies to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of accounting experience in the retail sector.
Proficiency in accounting software (PEACHTREE) and MS Excel.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication skills in English and Amharic.
