The individual will assume partial responsibility of design, supervision, and documentation of architectural related works. 

Top Roles and Responsibilities: 

•  Assist in establishing and setting up new projects with the relevant file structures and adhere to all agreed BIM standards, BIM Execution plans etc.

•  Timely reporting to the discipline Respective Team leader BIM modeler 

• Manage the implementation of the full BIM potential in terms of collaboration, clash detection and resolution of digitally constructed building elements.

• Manage the implementation of discipline specific software for BIM/Revit design development.

• Developing the technical capability of the existing staff, advise on and give training, assist with continued development and respond to technical queries.

• Project delivery from Concept Design to Issue for Contract documentation, the BIM/Revit modeler shall be able to develop Building Services design solution working in close collaboration with other design team stakeholders.

• Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling and design support.

• Coordinate and manage Revit models.

• Create Revit families and CAD blocks.

• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CAD drafting from project managers.

• Review all work for completeness and accuracy

• Use checklists set-up for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines.

• Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis.

• Complete printing and plotting requests.

• Observe professional ethics.

• Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture, Civil, Engineering.

• 3 years of related work experience out of which 1 year at international company is an added advantage

Critical criteria/Skill to be successful in this role:

•  A discipline specific degree qualification from a recognized University.

• An excellent working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navis works manage with at least three years of experience, ideally having worked on major design projects.

• A minimum of three years graduate experience in design and related, 

• Architect  Experience is an added advantage.
