JSI is a US-based public health nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality technical and managerial assistance programs throughout the world. In Ethiopia, JSI has been working to improve health outcomes for more than 30 years, implementing more than 60 projects and working in every regional state of Ethiopia. JSI has historically managed a large portfolio of projects focusing on the quality and equity of access to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services, primary healthcare, including community health programs, digital health, health information systems, supply chain management, public health emergency responses, and social and behavior change. These projects are in various stages of implementation.  

JSI Ethiopia seeks an experienced graphic design consultant to produce high-quality, state-of-the-art designs for various communication products. These products should align with JSI Ethiopia’s branding guidelines as well as those of its donors. The consultant is also expected to offer guidance on all design and printing processes. 

• Design and develop visually compelling materials, including brochures, reports, infographics, roll-ups, banners, newsletters, and various templates.

• Collaborate closely with the JSI Ethiopia communications team to address design needs promptly and efficiently.

• Ensure consistent application of JSI Ethiopia and donor branding standards across all materials.

• Integrate team feedback to finalize the formatting and layout of materials.

• Deliver final versions of designed materials in electronic format.

• Manage tight deadlines and deliver multiple assignments as required by the scope of work.

• Provide creative direction and technical guidance on print production and other design-related processes.

• Ensure quality control throughout design and production stages.

• Work with the JSI Ethiopia team to understand project objectives and create customized design solutions.

• Offer design consultation and recommendations aligned with industry best practices.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, compiling, and producing high-quality graphic design.

• Strong skills in creating communication materials that are clear, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences.

• Ability to connect with and effectively engage a wide range of stakeholders through design and multimedia work.

• Experience in producing graphic design for non-governmental organizations, preferably in the health sector and adhering to Ministry of Health and donor branding standards.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships effectively within international organizations and stakeholders.
