Job Summary:

EPHI’s national public health training centre (NTC) is known for providing more than 100 trainings events including CPD training/ year to health professionals who are working multiple governmental health systems. 

The centre is playing a key role to address major health challenges and improve public health outcomes. Providing need-based training, conducting training needs assessments, developing training modules, and ensuring the accreditation and delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs are the main services provided by the centre. Through these and other tasks undertaken in collaboration with various directorates of EPHI, NTC is striving to achieve its key objectives on maximizing continuous learning and professional development within the public health sector.

The NTC has three divisions, namely the Training Quality Control division, Registrar Library and Documentation division, and Training Coordination division. The centre is seeking a skilled and experienced Training Quality Officer who will be assigned under the quality control division reporting directly to the division head. The job holder is expected to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality competency-based training programs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to training quality standards and promoting continuous professional development in overall training delivery process. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. CPD Module Development: Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to progress CDP module development from designing up to facilitation of the accreditation process. This includes but not limited to the below specific tasks;

  • Working with training centre colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to design, develop and document full CPD training package that can be submitted for accreditation  

  • Working with training centre colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely accreditation of training modules by the appropriate authorities and maintain accurate records of training materials and participant information.

  • Ensuring approved CPD modules are updated as per the standard 

  • Document organized data of technical experts who worked as a TWG for each CPD modules

  1. Training Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures for training programs, including pre-training, during-training, and post-training assessments.

  2. E-Learning Integration: Contribute to the transition of training programs to e-learning formats and develop online training modules as needed.

  3. Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions on training quality assurance and other relevant topics to enhance the skills and knowledge of trainers.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Essential Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Requirements:

  • BSc degree in public health-related fields with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in CPD document preparation and working in CPD centres.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of training methodologies and accreditation processes. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and SPSS.

  • The applicants should submit transfer agreement letter from their current organization when they are selected.
