About the Ethiopian Red Cross Society
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through the provision of emergency responses, ambulance and first aid, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian services. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches and 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committee and 5871 Kebele Red Cross committees.
ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs relating to food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building interventions, with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. ERCS works in partnership with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers and the communities we serve.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Carrying out finance and admin related activities and providing logistical support for the implementation of the ERCS/GRC projects
Start Date: ASAPDuration: 12 months with option to extend
Salary / grade: Negotiable
Introduction:
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) in a joint project with the German Red Cross (GRC) implemented a relief project for displaced population in Ethiopia. The main components of the project are shelter, WASH, Cash assistance to cover basic needs and capacity building. The project is funded by the German Foreign Office. The project team at the ERCS branch is implementing the activities, whilst the team in Addis is responsible for the overall support.
Comply with procedures, regulations and policies of the ERCS, GRC and Donor
Work towards the achievement of overall goals of the program, through effective managerial and lateral relationship, teamwork and accountability
Respect and promote Red Cross/Red Crescent principles, values and comply to ERCS security regulations, code of conducts and relevant guidelines
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
Logistic / admin support:
Properly copy all project documents
Make sure all copied financial document match the originals and stamp the copied documents with the original stamp
Accurately stamp all project financial documents using the project and voucher number stamp
Make sure all the documents are signed by the head of office and finance admin
Clearly and accurately scan all financial documents per voucher number and archive the scanned document per project number in the correct folder on the hard disk
Book flights for travel and make arrangements for accommodation for visitors and project staff
Pick and drop of visitors and project staff from and to the airport
Carry out logistical support services, such as purchase and replenishing of office supplies before out of stock, collection of offers etc
Make sure to top up mobile airtime for GRC Delegates on the first day of every month.
Proactively settle advances with the admin-finance coordinator
Driving / vehicle management:
20% Drive project vehicle mainly in Addis Ababa following IFRC / ERCS security and safety regulations
Ensure that the vehicle is always well maintained and fuelled
Follow up on mileage for appropriate service
Take vehicle for inspections and repairs
Ensure proper use of logbook, monitor fuel consumption
Monitor and follow up on renewal of insurance for vehicles and annual inspection
Others duties
Travel to project area or other locations, if requested by the line manager
Promote and share ideas for improvement
Any other related assignments as requested by line manager
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Logistic & Supply Chain or related studies
3rd grade driving license is a MUST and 2 years of driving experience
Good computer and communication skills
Good knowledge of English
Proven record of minimum 2 years of related work experience in logistics/business administration
Work experience with an international team is an advantage
