Job Title: Content Development Lead

 Reports To: Manager - Branding and Promotion

 Location: Headquarter, Bole, Addis Ababa

Responsible for overseeing the creation and management of contents for various platforms and channels, including TV, Radio, Press, printed promotional materials, SMM, SEO, SEM, Content Marketing, Paid Ads, Email marketing, Bulk SMS, Lead Nurturing Messages, Call Center Scripts and Sales Pitches. Works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute content strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audiences.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement content strategies that support marketing and

  • communication objectives of the company.

  • Lead the content development process, including ideation, creation, editing, and publishing.

  • Oversee a broad spectrum of copywriting, graphics designing, photography,

  • motion graphics and videography projects to be utilized on various platforms through rounds of edits and revisions.

  • Ensures various events undertaken by the company are properly documented using appropriate mediums.

  • Analyzes content ideas, scripts, source materials, and draft contents in collaboration with subject matter experts and marketing leaders to ensure accuracy and relevance of content against the company’s brand guidelines and content strategies.

  • Ensuring consistency of contents across platforms

  • Ensure contents developed meet the required standards and are within the boundaries of internal and external policies, rules and regulation.

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing, Customer Acquisition, Marketing

  • Strategy and Sales teams to identify content opportunities on both digital and offline platforms.

  • Assess external changes in the marketplace to successfully identify gaps and opportunities in AFT’s content development practices and put forward appropriate recommendations

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify and adopt content opportunities and trends.

  • Lead a team of content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support.

  • Develop, monitor and analyze performance metrics (KPIs) that enable the content development team to improve productivity and optimize content strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • 6 years of experience in content development or a similar role, of which at least two years in supervisory or team leader roles.

 Competencies and Professional skills required:

  • Proven professional experience in content development, preferably in a similar role.

  • Demonstrable exposure in executing content development projects across various platforms and communication mediums.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.

  • Excellent skill in content strategy, ideation and creativity.

  • Highly developed attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with content development systems, tools, mediums and platforms.

  • Familiarity with content requirements for various Digital Marketing platforms.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
