Duties and Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities of the Documentation Staff but not limited are as follows:

• Operate and regulate all components of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, and aerators, to ensure efficient and continuous treatment of wastewater.

• Conduct comprehensive wastewater quality tests such as pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment process.

• Prepare, measure, and apply the correct dosages of chemicals like coagulants, neutralizers, and disinfectants, ensuring optimal treatment performance and compliance with discharge standards.

• Monitor and assess the performance of ETP equipment regularly, identifying and troubleshooting any technical or operational issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of ETP machinery and infrastructure to minimize downtime and enhance the system's longevity.

• Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, water quality test results, and maintenance activities, preparing and submitting comprehensive reports for management and regulatory inspections.

• Ensure all treated effluent meets or exceeds local environmental regulations and international standards for discharge or reuse for gardening 

• Respond promptly to operational emergencies such as equipment malfunctions, chemical spills, or sudden changes in wastewater quality, mitigating risks to the environment and plant operations.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when handling hazardous chemicals, operating heavy machinery, and working within the ETP facility.

• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and environmental compliance teams to manage wastewater loads effectively and align treatment processes with organizational goals and environmental policies.

• Performs such other duties and responsibilities when the need arises and assigned by your immediate supervisor or the manager

Educational qualification: Diploma EHS
