Job Description

The General Aim of the Position

To devise strategies to help students develop their leadership and soft skills by designing effective programs and activities

To set appropriate learning outcomes for the Leadership Center, follow up, and monitor the achievement process

To evaluate and monitor the quality and efficiency of the leadership center

To design a grading and assessment system for students’ leadership activities

Cooperation and Reporting Relations

The LCM is directly responsible and accountable to the Dean of School/DoS

The LCM reports to the Dean of School/DoS

The LCM works very closely with functional area leaders, Department Heads and Teachers

College Guidance and Counselor 

Priority Tasks and Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and oversee a comprehensive co-curricular program that includes sports, arts, cultural events, leadership opportunities, and service-learning initiatives

Encourage the development of leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through co-curricular involvement

Monitor and mentor students in leadership roles to help them grow and take responsibility within the school community

Design and implement strategies for enhanced leadership programs and activities

Ensure strategies and activities are put in place to promote student’s leadership potential 

Ensure strategies and activities are put in place to promote student’s soft skills development 

Ensure student's talent identification systems and processes are put in place

Evaluate and monitor the quality and efficiency of the leadership center

Set appropriate learning outcomes for the Leadership Center, and follow up and monitor the process of achieving them 

Document and maintain students’ leadership activities 

Design a grading and assessment system for students’ leadership activities

Develop students’ leadership profile

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in education, event management, communication/journalism, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

At least 5 years of experience in organizing and leading co-curricular or extracurricular programs, preferably in an international school setting, with a minimum of 2 years working in a managerial/leadership position

Background in working with diverse student populations and understanding the unique needs of international schools

Skills and Competencies:

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple programs simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, parents, and external partners

Leadership and mentoring abilities to inspire and guide staff and students

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills for developing engaging programs

Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion

Proficiency in using technology to plan, track, and promote activities
