Job Description
Population, Health and Environment Ethiopia Consortium (PHE EC), is a consortium organization engaged in addressing issues of population, health and environment in an integrated manner for improved livelihoods and sustainable well-being of people and ecosystems in Ethiopia.
PHEEC is now seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced candidate for the position of Project Officer for our PHE EC -GIDABO project Kefa-Bonga, Ginobo Office. In this position, where incredible achievement is expected and the thematic areas mainly include environmental conservation and rehabilitation, climate change, resilience, sustainable natural resources management, sustainable livelihood and capacity building in the areas of Environment.
Support all the environmental, PFM, Livelihood and Health activities of the project as directed by the department head
Coordinate and execute project activities and ensure timely communications.
Maintain up to date records and reports to the satisfaction of the project - sensitize reports and findings.
Oversee budget, financial tracking and compliance with financial reporting processes.
Prepare project all year, annual, bi-annual, quarterly and monthly plan and activity report
Able to make sure that all the aims of the project are met
Maintain up to date records and reports to the satisfaction of the project - sensitize reports and findings.
Initiate and lead the establishment of multi-sectorial platforms/taskforces at kebele, woreda and zonal levels and ensure that they are used as coordination, learning and knowledge management platforms
REPORTS TO: Population and livelihood program Manager
Experience: 3 Years and above
Nature of Job: Fixed terms of contract, with possibility of extension
Salary - As per the organization scale

Qualifications and Experiences
BSc degree or Master’s degree in natural resources management, environment conservation or management, or in relevant and related fields.
At least 3 years of practical experience in natural resource management for BSc and 1 years for Master’s, in Biodiversity Conservation, climate change and livelihood project.
Project management and coordination skill
Excellent communications skill both in oral presentations and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal/external partners and promote collaboration in a multi-cultural environment.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, and, social media tools including Face book, LinkedIn, and Twitter for the benefit of the organization.
