Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from designing programs to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee multiple projects while ensuring adherence to organizational policies, donor requirements, and quality standards. The Project Manager will play a critical role in donor mapping and program design, working closely with the Deputy General Manager to align projects with organizational goals. This position also involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of Biruh Zega’s initiatives.
1. Program Design and Execution
Design comprehensive program frameworks that align with organizational objectives and donor expectations.
Develop detailed project plans and strategies, ensuring alignment with Biruh Zega’s mission.
Oversee the implementation of programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
2. Donor Mapping and Proposal Design
Identify and map potential donors, aligning opportunities with organizational priorities.
Design compelling project proposals that address donor priorities and promote program sustainability.
Maintain strong relationships with donors to foster long-term collaborations.
3. Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with the Deputy General Manager on project planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing challenges proactively.
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to measure project impact.
Prepare detailed reports on project outcomes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
5. Policy Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure all projects adhere to organizational protocols, donor requirements, and quality standards.
Develop strategies to maintain consistency and high-quality execution across all projects.
6. Resource and Time Management
Optimize the use of project management tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
Allocate resources and manage budgets effectively to ensure cost-efficiency.
Prioritize tasks and manage time to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Identify opportunities to improve project processes and outcomes.
Stay updated on best practices in project management, donor engagement, and M&E to enhance program effectiveness.
Education:
Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, including designing and implementing programs, donor mapping, and monitoring and evaluation.
