Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure that the sourcing, pre-qualification and evaluation of suppliers is carried out as per Company standards;
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with the key stakeholders’ officials at a higher level, including shipping companies, transit and clearing agents, banks and insurances and customs authority, to facilitate delivery and compliance with the foreign procurement and logistics regulations;
Formulate the Foreign procurement, Logistics and Transportation plans, strategies and programs;
Establish effective lines of communication to ensure timely delivery of products using the most appropriate foreign procurement and logistics procedures;
Manage supplier contracts and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure completeness of deliverables outlined in the contract, this includes ensuring that all supplier complaints and concerns are addressed promptly;
Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed foreign products and materials and advise the top management on any impact;
Communicate the job expectations to staff of the Foreign Procurement and Logistics section;
Foster a productive working environment in the foreign procurement and logistics section;
Lead, motivate and inspire the Foreign Procurement and Logistics section staff and facilitate personal growth;
Job Requirements
BA Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management or related field
At least 8 - 10 years of related experience in trading company operation out of which 5 years in management position.
In-depth knowledge of and understanding of procurement and logistic theory, policies, procedures and practices
Good knowledge of international procurement standards, rules and regulations
Creativity, innovation and business minded
Effective communication skills and ability to establish good working relationships with international suppliers and national authorities
