Laboratory Technicians are responsible for ensuring that concrete is properly mixed and placed in the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, etc. They ensure that all ingredients are properly proportioned and added to the mix at the right time, and they may also be tasked with testing samples of the concrete throughout the process to ensure it meets certain standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and test process functions & materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer 

• Correct any deviations in these processes or materials from the requirements 

• Prepare and record accurate information and forward to personnel in a timely manner.

• Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned

• go out to site to obtain samples or the foreman will deliver the samples; 

• conduct the testing;

• write reports and provide feedback to Management; 

• planning and managing the laboratory and its staff; 

• Assisting in the laboratory helping with advanced and new testing methods; 

• resolving problems - especially with unusual soil and aggregate samples, and special concrete mix designs; 

• attend contract planning and site meetings when special construction material related matters are discussed; 

• Visit sites on a regular basis.

• Additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manage

Job Requirements

A. Education: - BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field study with two years above in batching plant lab technician related work experience.

B. Knowledge, Skills, Competence:

• Outstanding communication skills. 

• Great attention to detail and a results driven approach. 

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

• Reliable and Trustworthy.
