The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) was founded in 1991 as a non-profit, non-partisan, and independent organization dedicated to research and membership. In light of the recent Civil Society Agency proclamation allowing civil society organizations to participate in business activities, the EEA has launched an independent business division known as IGA-ESE. 

This division has been actively involved in various business ventures, including the rental of buildings and conference halls, Cafeteria, Consultancy services, and more. In line with this objective, ESE consult of EEA is established to provide evidenced-based research and consultancy services for national and international clients. For this purpose, ESE Consult would like to recruit professionals who meet the following listed qualifications 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Search, solicit and develop  research and consultancy proposals; 

• Re-organize and lead the consultancy and training unit.

• Support the coordination and management of research projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client requirements; 

• Assist in the development of research plans, determine appropriate methodologies, and design data collection instruments such as surveys, interviews, focus group discussion checklists, etc.; 

• Develop standard training materials and coordinate the provision of the training; 

• Oversee data collection processes, and support data analysis using statistical software; 

• Prepare detailed field implementation reports, and contribute/support the research team in developing the project report; 

• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of research data, methodologies, and analysis techniques in collaboration with other team members; 

• Participate in fieldwork activities, such as conducting on-site observations or interviews. 

• Represent ESE Consult in various meetings and conferences; 

• Follow-up clients to ensure client satisfaction; contribute towards a remarkable service excellence and establishment of a long-lasting client relationship; 

• Work closely with other divisions and teams of ESE Consult; 

• Prepare monthly plans and performance reports; 

• Handle all other activities as required by the immediate supervisor;

Salary: As per the very competitive salary and benefit package of the organization and Additional 10% of the project payment on each Project achieved.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

• MA/MBA/MSc degree with six years of relevant work experience or

• PhD degree with 2 years of relevant work experience 

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in research and consultancy activities;

• Experiance in securing and implmenting consultancy and related projects is plus;

• Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R);

• Minimum of 5 publications on a reputable journal.
