Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for the usage, accuracy, efficiency, security, maintenance, administration and development of an organization’s computerized database(s), providing support to some or all departments depending on the size and network connectivity. S/he develops and changes the data management plan and models consistent with the needs/direction of the bank. The jobholder coordinates the creation and implementation of the data management plans and models when data integrity, backup, and security have become an increasingly important aspect of the work
Job Requirement
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or computer Engineering plus a minimum of six (6) years in Database administration or related with three (3) years of which should be in a senior/equivalent role preferably in the banking sector.
Required Knowledge & Skills
– Knowledge of two or more RDBMS technologies (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL server & Knowledge of advanced SQL)
– Advanced knowledge of operating systems preferably AIX, Linux. Storages, network and security knowledge. Knowledge of high availability (HA) and Disaster recovery options
