Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

The Media and Communications Officer will be responsible to:

1. Produce a weekly radio program and a weekly YouTube content on SRH issues.

2. Gather information that will be used as an input for various media channels of the Society.

3. Interview selected individuals to be used as an input for a weekly radio program and for video production..

4. Serve as a host on a weekly radio program and video contents for YouTube and other video platforms.

5. Take pictures on interviewees, events, and other engagements of the Society.

6. Involve in creating content for digital media.

7. Collaborate closely with the video production company to facilitate the production schedule and ensure all podcasts and videos are aligned with ESOG’s goals and standards.

8. Ensure the final output meets professional quality standards for both video and audio.

9. Compile and report performed media and communication activities.

10. Carry out other media and communication related responsibilities and duties as needed.

11. Work closely with the Communications Officer to develop annual plan and strategy to achieve ESOG’s communication objectives.

12. Work closely with Project Coordinators to boost visibility of their activities on all available media platforms.

Job Requirements:

• Qualification: BA Degree in Media and Communications, Journalism, Language and Literature or related fields.

• Average skill in editing short clips from long videos for social media consumption, i.e., TikTok, Facebook, Instagram

• Skills in audio editing for radio.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with the video production company.

• A minimum of two years of experience with electronic and/or content creation for digital media.

• Skills in Microsoft and audio and video editing software, i.e., Adobe Audio Editor, Canva, Cap Cut, or other software of convenience

• Ability to communicate with multiple languages (local and international) is a plus.
