Job Title: Director, Program

Job Summary: -
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Director provides strategic leadership and management for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Cheshire Ethiopia (CE) programs within Rehabilitation Centers and the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Coordination Office. This position involves directing all aspects of program development, staff management, resource allocation, and operational oversight to ensure the organization achieves its mission and objectives
Develops and implements plans, methods, and procedures for CE programs.
Ensures program goals align with organizational objectives and community needs.
Supervises and coordinates program activities, ensures smooth operations across all phases.
Collaborates with center and project managers to oversee program and project execution and meet objectives.
Leads the recruitment and selection of qualified program personnel based on expertise and program requirements.
Evaluates team performance, provides constructive feedback, and identifies opportunities for professional development.
Serves as the primary liaison for program-related activities, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners.
Prepares detailed reports for the Executive Director, donors, and other stakeholders.
Collaborates with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to assess program effectiveness and outcomes.
Modifies methodologies as necessary to improve program impact and ensure alignment with objectives.
Develops and manages program budgets, ensures expenditures remain within approved allocations.
Seeks innovative strategies to optimize resource use and support financial sustainability.
Leadssm budgets, ensuringillidentify and review the development of project proposals to secure solicited and unsolicited funding.
Collaborates with relevant staff to design and implement effective funding strategies for CE programs.
Acts as a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to organizational planning, decision-making, and strategic leadership.
Provides insights and recommendations to guide the organization’s overall direction.
Ensure program compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Submit timely, accurate, and comprehensive program reports.
Identify emerging trends and opportunities to enhance CE programs.
Drive initiatives to ensure the organization remains a leader in rights-based comprehensive disability rehabilitation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support the organization’s mission

Requirements
MA/BA in sociology or social work or Public Health or Rehabilitation Management or Educational Administration or related
10 years for Masters degree and 12 years for BA degree relevant experience from which 4 years in manager or director position
