Position Title: Assistant Teacher

One Planet International School, a prestigious international school offering the Cambridge curriculum, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support student learning in an inclusive, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment.
Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
Support students in developing their academic, social, and emotional skills through individualized attention and group activities.
Prepare and organize teaching materials, resources, and classroom displays.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers to support personalized learning.
Supervise students during breaks, extracurricular activities, and school events to ensure their safety and well-being.
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
Collaborate with lead teachers, parents, and school staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities and school initiatives.
Teaching Amharic Language.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (or equivalent certification).
Experience in supporting the Cambridge curriculum or an international school environment is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required; additional languages are a plus.
Patience, adaptability, and a passion for nurturing young learners in a multicultural setting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
