Job Description
Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating poverty and injustice globally, with a vision of “Together for a Just World.” Established in 1947 and affiliated with the World Council of Churches, NCA operates in over 140 countries, including Ethiopia, where it has been active since 1974. The organization partners with local faith-based groups and engages in various civil society networks to implement programs focused on Climate Resilient Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Climate and Environment Stewardship, Peacebuilding, Gender-Based Violence, and Humanitarian Emergency Response, all while ensuring effective and sustainable interventions in complex contexts.
The Operations Manager (OM) is a new position in NCA Ethiopia, developed following an organizational review and restructuring of the Finance and Operations Department. The OM will work closely with the Country Director and Senior Management Team to ensure quality and efficient operational support in the areas of administration, procurement, and logistics, including fleet and property management, for the successful implementation of the NCA’s country program in Ethiopia. The OM will provide line management for the department's staff and functionally support field-based administrators and logistics staff.
Required qualifications:
Master's Degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business & administration, logistics, and supply management, including humanitarian studies.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership & management positions in the aid sector.
Solid experience in building teams and delivering results in complex contexts.
Proficiency in using digital tools/platforms for operation and documentation.
Experience with institutional donors (e.g., UN agencies) is an advantage.
English proficiency is required.
