Job Description
To supervise and maintain all farmland irrigation systems, soil moisture and administer fertigation/chemigation systems.
Generic Duties
Sets deadlines in ways that comply with department’s plans and communicate them to subordinates,
Organizes workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks,
Monitors employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching,
Main Duties
Oversees and maintain all farmland irrigation systems,
Monitors soil moisture and effectiveness of irrigation systems,
Program, monitor and control computerized irrigation controllers,
Manages and administer fertigation/chemigation systems,
Leads and monitors installation and maintenance of irrigation system,
Estimates labor requirements for jobs and review work schedules accordingly,
Reviews work orders and schedule personnel and equipment in accordance with job requirements,
Prepares, review, and submit timely reports to the relevant organ,
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification and Skills
BSc or MSc in Irrigation Engineering or Agricultural engineering or Related fields of studies.
Experience:
8 years for BSc
6 years for MSc
Skills:
Leadership skills
Irrigation management skills
Problem solving skills
Communication skills.
