The Data Center Technician provides on-site support for daily Data Center operations, including 24/7 monitoring, physical security, incident management, and execution of the IT critical facilities’ preventive maintenance program. With minimal supervision, this role involves monitoring, diagnosing, and correcting operational issues within the Bank’s Data Center facilities and communication networks. As part of a 24/7 team, the technician coordinates between shifts to ensure uninterrupted operation and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.

Job Requirement

• Educational  and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (BSC) in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years on hands- experience in relevant job responsibilities. Level IV certification guaranteed with COC, in Electricity, Mechatronics, Electro Mechanical Technology and other related field of study from a recognized TVET college, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant on hand- experience

COMPETENCY:

• Proficient understanding of critical data center systems, including diesel generators, UPS systems, fuel systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, air conditioning, fire detection/suppression, and facility monitoring systems. Positive attitude towards work and adaptability to change. Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
