We are currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Assosa. In this key role, you’ll contribute to ensuring the safe and effective use of medications while collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. As a part of our growing healthcare network, you will directly support our mission to improve healthcare access, quality, and safety in the communities we serve.
Position Overview:

Accurate Dispensing: Ensure prescriptions are filled with precision, prioritizing patient safety and proper medication use.

Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and safety protocols in all pharmacy operations.
Leadership: Oversee pharmacy operations, manage inventory, and ensure medication safety, playing a pivotal role in delivering quality healthcare to patients.
Medication Therapy Management (MTM): Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to ensure appropriateness of therapy and resolve potential drug interactions or issues.
Inventory Management: Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and prevent stockouts.
Patient Education Programs: Develop and implement patient education initiatives to improve medication adherence and promote healthier lifestyles.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of medications and pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring they meet safety standards and are free from defects.
Pharmacy Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy-related policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Adverse Drug Event Reporting: Actively monitor and report any adverse drug reactions or events to improve patient safety and medication protocols.
Clinical Research Support: Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives as needed, providing insights on medication usage and patient care practices.
Training and Mentorship: Assist in training and mentoring junior pharmacy staff and interns to promote professional growth and ensure quality service delivery.
Budget Management: Assist in managing the pharmacy's budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and availability of medications

What We’re Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active and valid pharmacist license in Ethiopia.
Experience: Experience in clinical or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with patients and team members.
