About the role:
The position is for a full-time Researcher position based in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate shall undertake research, evidence syntheses, data analyses and evaluation.
The candidate will report to the Reproductive Health division of Health System Research Directorate
Undertake evidence syntheses, data analyses and evaluation.
Conduct reproductive health related research and report writing
Contribute and participate in capacity-building activities
Writing and publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals to share findings with the scientific community and contribute to the body of knowledge on reproductive health.
Working with other researchers, public health professionals, and policymakers to address reproductive health issues and develop evidence-based interventions.
Ensuring that all research is conducted ethically, respecting the rights and privacy of study participants.
Implementing the project’s research agenda under the guidance of project lead.
Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities, under the direction of project lead.
Participate in disseminating results from the division and directorate
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the senior researchers and /or the director etc.
Candidate requirements
Must hold a minimum of a MD, or master’s degree in public health specialty in reproductive health and public health.
Must have minimum of five years working experience after MD, or master’s degree as Medical director, research coordinator or researcher.
Good knowledge in research, research methods, and analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to compile and synthesize data and findings into polished comprehensive final reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including flexibility.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience working in research settings or research projects is an added advantage.
Comfortable with high-profile liaisons.
