About the role:
The position is for a full-time Researcher position based in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate shall undertake evidence syntheses, policy analyses, research, and evaluation. The candidate will report to the Knowledge Translation division of Health System Research Directorate
Duties & Responsibilities:
Undertake evidence syntheses, policy analyses, research, and evaluation.
Conduct policy briefs/rapid reviews
Conduct HTA (Health technology assessment) studies
Respond rapidly to national and subnational policymaker needs for research evidence under the direction of project lead to support decisions.
Support stakeholder engagement activities, including policy dialogues and citizen panels, and any other as might be determined by the technical leads.
Contribute and participate in capacity-building activities internally and externally.
Implementing the research agenda under the division
Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities of the division.
Participate in disseminating results from the division and directorate
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the senior researchers and /or the director.
Job Requirements
Candidate requirements:
Must hold a minimum of MD or master’s degree in public health or epidemiology.
Must have minimum of five years working experience after MD, master’s degree.
Good knowledge in research, research methods, and analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to compile and synthesize data and findings into polished comprehensive final reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including flexibility.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience working in research settings or research projects is an added advantage.
Research publication in peer reviewed journals and/or training on evidence synthesis is an added advantage.
Comfortable with high-profile liaisons.
