Job Description

Job Purpose :- To administer and monitor the terms and conditions of active contracts to ensure compliance to all contract provisions and administer contracts. prepare and submit winning bids for construction projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs contract administration from contract inception through performance, contract completion and close-out.

  • Take timely corrective action to prevent or correct poor or late performance. Initiates termination action if appropriate

  • Ensures that construction works are completed to the required standards and within the agreed timescale,

  • Responds to any customer complaints to ensure that these are dealt with speedily and effectively,

  • Monitors all construction costs to ensure that these are within agreed budget limits,

  • Discuss design change /enhancements and potential variations to the contract with customers .

  • Manages and drives the review process to ensure the implementation of all subcontractors within the required time frame and budget, 

  • Ensures cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained, as well as identify any cost issues and keeping project management teams notified of these issues, 

  • Prepares Requests for Proposals, Invitations for Bids, and Request for Qualifications, and related solicitation documents, 

  • Prepares and maintains pre-contract procurement plans and conducts Pre-Award Surveys relative to contractor capability and responsibility including visits to contractor facilities,

  • Accepts and evaluates prospective contractor proposals or bids. Evaluates contractor bid/proposals for conformance to solicitation requirements and makes determinations relative to the responsiveness of contract bid/proposals.

  • Maintain all necessary records to ensure the effective monitoring of contracts,

  • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Construction Management  or Civil Engineering or Architecture or related field of studies

Experience 

  • 5 years for BSc 

  • 3 years for MSc.
