Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing project lifecycles, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Salary Range: 25,000 - 30,000 ETB
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership:
Manage 2–4 medium-sized projects simultaneously, from planning to closure.
Ensure clear project planning, execution, and tracking to meet deliverables and objectives.
Monitor and manage project budgets for efficient resource use and financial alignment.
2. Team Collaboration:
Facilitate effective teamwork within and across departments to keep projects on track.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Conduct Agile or Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
Manage expectations and address concerns proactively.
4. Risk Management and Problem Solving:
Identify risks and issues early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
Manage changes to project scope or timeline while ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
5. Performance Monitoring:
Track and report project KPIs, such as on-time delivery, budget adherence, and team productivity.
Use appropriate tools to monitor progress and ensure project success.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Project Management.
3–5 years of related experience in managing software development projects.
Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and understanding of when to apply each.
Expertise in project budgeting, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of project KPIs and tools for performance tracking.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate Agile processes effectively.
