Background of ETNO Mining 

ETNO Mining, a subsidiary of Akobo Minerals gold exploration and mining company focusing on projects along the Akobo River in southwestern Ethiopia. ETNO has ongoing exploration and mining development in the Gambela region, Dima Wereda.   

The company currently start commissioning of its processing plant in its Segele Mining site, 

ETNO underground project area of influence is within the Chamo Kebele, Dima Woreda Gambela Region of Ethiopia and an active exploration activity in other areas. 

The Akobo Project has been divided into several prospects and Segele underground site is one of the projects that has currently started commissioning the processing plant. 

The company has already developed an environmental monitoring plan and other relevant documents in relation to sustainable natural resource management. 

Role Overview 

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for the contribution of for the overall goal of the clinic, healthy and thriving workforce. The nurse will work under the direct supervision of the medical doctor, head of the site clinic and conduct the following duties: 

• Examine patients and diagnose and treat illness 

• Provide primary health care to company employees 

• Perform accurate and timely documentation of histories, subjective findings, physical exam, plans, prescriptions and follow up. 

• Document patient record entries

• Assist and provide health education for company employees 

• Assist in the development of Standards of Care for the medical department. 

• Provide members and patients with information concerning their evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis

• Provide counseling for patients with diet, hygiene and preventative healthcare

• Work at the trauma center/site clinic on duty 

• Actively participate and engage in quality improvement for clinic efficiencies and improving quality of care.

Job Requirements

Education: bachelor’s degree in nursing or health officer.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience, especially in malaria prone area. 

Experience in the mining industry is plus. 

Other Requirements

• Working knowledge of applicable federal and regional regulations and standards.

• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills of national language and English
