Position Overview: We seek a talented and experienced accountant to join our team. As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all the accuracy and completeness of financial documents, preparing the budget of the company, checking the timeliness and accuracy of all tax-related issues, preparing bank reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, and providing technical support to the accountants and the junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Preparation & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (including budgets), analyze financial information, and report on revenue/expense trends against budget. Summarize financial status for management.

• General Accounting Operations: Ensure all transactions are properly recorded, documented, and comply with company policies, procedures, and accounting principles. Review transactions for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain balanced books of accounts. Authorize records and ledger accounts.

• Cash Management & Forecasting: Undertake cash flow forecasts, ensure sufficient funds for operational needs and financial obligations, and administer intercompany fund transfers. Prepare bank/cash reconciliations.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Prepare aging reports on accounts receivable. Process timely and accurate payments (including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, pension), prepare payment vouchers and cheques. Manage prepaid expenses, accruals, and deferrals.

• Payroll Processing & Compliance: Prepare payroll, review post-payment documents to ensure tax and pension deductions are correctly paid to government authorities.

• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain accurate fixed asset registers.

• Financial Document & Record Management: Verify, register, and maintain custody of all accounting records, documents, and files. Ensure sufficient quantities of official financial documents and vouchers are available.

• Internal Controls & Compliance: Monitor and review accounting systems and reports for accuracy and completeness. Implement and maintain internal control measures, complying with relevant state and federal laws.

• Audit & Reporting: Interact with internal and external auditors. Prepare regular financial reports for various internal and external users.

• Team Support & Training: Provide technical backup and training to accountants and junior accountants.

• System Improvement: Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Job Requirements

• BA/MA Degree in Accounting and Finance 

• 5/3 years of relevant work experience in a merchandising company 

• Special Training ; IFRS, Peachtree Accounting
