Job Description
Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa which is centrally located in Kazanchis Business District adjacent to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa conference hall (UNECA-AA) and just four kilometres from Bole International Airport is looking for dynamic and competent applicants who wish to join our team in the following position:
Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, highest Diploma in Food Preparation or a related field from accredited hotel institute/college
Work experience: 10 years and above relevant experience as Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef in a well-known 4-star or 5-star hotel
Certificate/training: Having COC certification is an advantage
Language skills: Very good written and spoken English
Competencies and required skills
Proven experience as an executive chef within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment
Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environments
Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
Ability to manage the full kitchen team showing attention to detail and an understanding of bringing out the best from all team members
Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
Enthusiasm to develop themselves and others within the department
Knowledge of international health and safety regulations and best practices
Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Outstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspective
Excellent ability to work collaboratively across functions
Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
