The main purpose of the job is to implement the WASHH Health Nutrition    activities of Rapid Response Mechanism to Provide Immediate Life-Saving Support to  

Crisis-Affected Population in Lasta woreda of Amhara region rejects. The overall objective of this integrated project is to address immediate lifesaving needs, provide safe and inclusive access to essential services, and contribute to support and build linkages towards recovery and resilience of the communities in lasta districts

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

• Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

• Ensures that the team members under supervision are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;

• Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.

• Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications/ experience essential:

•  Diploma in Nursing and other relevant fields of study and over 1 year’s relevant experience.  

• 12 complete At least FOUR years practical experience in TSFP program management.  

• At least 2 years relevant experience in an international NGO or similar organization.  

• Knowledge of policy and practice in the field of Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (Nutrition)(CMAM)

• Computer literate in word processing and excel packages will be additional 

• An understanding of child rights and their protection and fulfilment in the development context.

Languages required:

• Fluency in English language is essential

• In addition to Amharic other local Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable
