The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for developing and implementing the technology strategy of the Bank. S/he shall identify emerging technologies and trends that can enhance, improve customer experience, and drive innovation. The CTO provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all technology-related functions within Zemen Bank. Works closely with the CIO for the successful adoption and implementation of the bank’s IT strategy, technologies, software, systems etc. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement vision and strategy that supports Zemen Bank's business objectives and enables innovation and digital transformation. 

• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, block chain, cloud computing, and data analytics, to realize the strategic objective of the bank. 

• Highlight current gaps, anticipate, and fulfil future business and client needs by implementing cutting edge technologies and digital solutions. 

• Introduce and incorporate trends and emerging technologies, processes, and best practices to the bank. 

• Advise the bank on the best digital landscape and make recommendations to transform the business. 

• Reinvent client experience by leveraging journey maps, understanding customer empathy, and data to create transformative Information technology interfaces, marketing strategies, and process innovations.

• Drive transformational value through cutting-edge applications and technologies that are fully scaled into the business. 

• Build ongoing organizational change capabilities and help the bank transform into a technology and innovation enterprise hub that continues to develop and innovate. 

• Redesign the technology function to improve flexibility, efficiency, and business-information technology alignment. 

• Establish and maintain technology governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure effective technology decision-making and risk management. 

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to technology and data management. 

• Lead the IT transformation agenda, programs and projects that ensure competitiveness of the Bank.

Additional Skills & Competencies required:

• The CTO candidate is expected to have technical competencies in the areas of IT strategy, project management, enterprise architecture, digital innovation and transformation.

• Knowledge and working skills of banking system and technologies, infrastructures. 

• The CTO is also expected to have a good understanding of the Banking business as an executive as s/he is expected to drive business success through technology adoption and innovation. 

• The CTO on the other hand is expected to have an excellent leadership skill demonstrated in his/her tenure. He/she is also expected to balance operational excellence with strategic direction and vision.

• As an executive people management is also one of the critical skills that we are looking from the candidate.

Job Requirements

Education:

• MSc. Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields 

Experience:

• At least 10 years banking experience out of which a minimum of 4 years’ experience as Department Director or Deputy Chief Officer. 

• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields

Experience:

• At least 12 years banking experience out of which a minimum of 4 years’ experience as Department Director or Deputy Chief Officer.
